Hoa Minzy, Tang Duy Tan, Duc Phuc support Cuba

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross, artists Hoa Minzy, Tang Duy Tan, Duc Phuc, Binh Tinh, and composer Hoang Song Viet joined in supporting the Cuban people to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, and blockade and embargo policies.

Previously, on August 13, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society was assigned by the Party, State and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, socio-political organizations and mass organizations to launch a national program to support the Cuban people with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship".

The program lasts 65 days (August 13 to October 16), aiming to mobilize at least 65 billion VND.

Hoa Minzy donated 50 million VND, shared the call from the Government Information Portal and said "Hoa's audience should also take action with Hoa" on her personal page.

The singer wrote: "Following the call of our Government, Hoa Minzy would like to support the Cuban people and wish Cuba to always be peaceful, with enough food and clothes."

Hoa Minzy's post attracted 25,000 likes and more than 500 comments, many of Hoa's fans also confirmed that they had transferred money to support.

Similar to his sister in the Hoa Dam But group, Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc also participated in donating 50 million VND. In the comment section, he posted the transfer information and told fans, "Let Cuba know that Vietnam has never forgotten!"

Tang Duy Tan also responded to the call to support the Cuban people: "As long as the scar on my left hand remains, I will be grateful to Cuba." The artist did not disclose the amount of donation, but in the transfer content, he wrote: "I love Cuba."

Tang Duy Tan wrote: "Everyone in my generation has a scar on their left hand. It is a scar from the vaccine aid provided by Cuba when our country was still under various embargoes. This is the time for our generation to repay the favor."

Many Vietnamese people have joined in supporting and sharing feelings with their brothers on the other side of the globe.

On this occasion, the saying "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood" by former Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro as well as the affection and support of Cuba for Vietnam during the war, embargo and COVID-19 pandemic were shared again.

"Vietnamese people never forget Cuba", "Today it's our turn for Cuba", "Let's support our loyal friend"... are the messages of many people.

In the Thank You Letter dated August 14, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross sent "thanks to millions of Vietnamese hearts joining hands to continue writing the story of Vietnam - Cuba friendship".

Accordingly, after only 30 hours of launching, the program received enthusiastic response from millions of Vietnamese hearts, with the amount of donations reaching the minimum target of 65 billion VND.

The program will continue to be implemented until October 16.
