Complete the registration of "3 no" fishing vessels

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province said that up to now, the province has completed the registration of "3 no" fishing vessels. Accordingly, the total number of fishing vessels registered in Soc Trang province is 792 (341 fishing vessels with a length of 15m or more), and has been fully updated in the national fisheries database VNFishbase; the registration of "3 no" fishing vessels has been completed, registration certificates, inspection certificates, and fishing licenses have been issued to 100% of fishing vessels.

To effectively carry out the work of combating IUU fishing, Soc Trang province has coordinated with relevant units to organize many training sessions and propaganda on legal regulations on preventing and combating IUU fishing according to regulations; organized 14 propaganda classes on the Fisheries Law 2017; implemented regulations on policies to support satellite subscription fees for voyage monitoring equipment; organized 3 mock trials in 3 coastal localities...; 24/7 monitoring on the system for fishing vessels operating at sea to promptly detect cases of disconnection and promptly notify the ship owners; directly inspected many fishing vessels operating at sea; confirmed 1,206 fishing vessels leaving port... Since the beginning of the year, Soc Trang province has had no fishing vessels illegally exploiting foreign waters.
