Completion of site clearance for the first VSIP Industrial Park in the West

On September 11, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tao - Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Can Tho City - said that the site clearance for VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park (Vinh Thanh district) has basically been completed.

Up to now, VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park Phase 1, which is over 293 hectares wide, has cleared 99% of the area, and the remaining 5 households with an area of ​​over 4 hectares have also committed to handing over the site this week.

“The total cost of compensation for site clearance for the project is about 1,300 billion VND. Thus, it has been completed according to the direction of Can Tho city leaders to hand over 100% of the site to the investor in September 2024,” Mr. Tao informed.

According to the plan, in the second quarter of 2025, the investor will hand over the land to businesses to lease land to build factories. Up to now, 18 businesses have registered to lease more than 100 hectares, accounting for more than 1/3 of the area of ​​VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park, with project investment capital of about 200 million USD.

VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park has a total investment capital of 3,717 billion VND, oriented to be built according to the model of smart and sustainable industrial park, with the goal of becoming a large food processing and distribution center in the Southern region.

It is expected that when put into operation, it will create jobs for 20,000 - 30,000 workers in Can Tho city and neighboring provinces.

The project is implemented by three investors: Industrial Development and Investment Corporation - Joint Stock Company, Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited and Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company.
