Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Ninh Binh Club passed the first round of the National Cup

(Dan Tri) - Famous football teams including Ninh Binh and Hoang Anh Gia Gia (HAGL) simultaneously won the right to pass the first round of the National Cup, in the series of matches taking place this afternoon (September 13).

Although having to play on Phu Tho Club's field, Ninh Binh proved to be much stronger than the home team in the lower division.

After only 8 minutes of play, Ninh Binh Football Club was already leading with two goals, both scored by Le Hoai Duc.

After the goal, Ninh Binh FC played quite leisurely. However, the complacency of the team from the ancient capital Hoa Lu made them startled, when Phu Tho team then scored two goals in a row.

Both of these goals of the home team were scored by Trong Bao in the 20th and 48th minutes, thereby Phu Tho leveled the score 2-2.

However, the higher level still helped Ninh Binh get a good result in this match. In the 65th and 87th minutes, Geovane Magno and Hoang Duc scored respectively, sealing a 4-2 victory for Ninh Binh.

Also winning in the first round of the National Cup, in the series of matches taking place this afternoon is HAGL. The mountain town team beat Thanh Hoa Club 2-0. The goalscorers for HAGL were Tran Gia Bao in the 60th minute and Cao Hoang Minh in the 88th minute.

The remaining team to qualify for the first round of the LPBS National Cup 2025-26 this evening is Long An. This club beat Quy Nhon United 3-1 in the penalty shootout, after the two sides drew 1-1 in the official match time.
