Students in grades 1, 9 and 12 in Dong Thap return to school from August 22

GD&TĐ - The People's Committee of Dong Thap province has just issued a timetable framework for the 2025-2026 school year for all levels of education in the province.

Accordingly, students in grades 1, 9 and 12 will return to school from August 22, 2025, while the remaining grades will return to school from August 29, 2025. The opening ceremony of the new school year will take place simultaneously on September 5, 2025.

The 2025-2026 school year has 35 weeks of actual study, of which the first semester has 18 weeks and the second semester has 17 weeks. The first semester ends before January 18, 2026 and the second semester ends before May 31, 2026. The first grade classes must complete enrollment before July 31, 2026. The high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11 and 12, 2026.

The People's Committee of Dong Thap province assigned the Department of Education and Training to direct and monitor the strict implementation of the school year schedule; at the same time, proactively handle unusual situations to ensure the progress and quality of teaching and learning.
