This information was announced by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) within the framework of the Closing Ceremony of the 28th Universal Postal Congress in Dubai on September 19.
Accordingly, the letter to director James Cameron by a female student born in 2009 from Da Nang won the silver medal. The gold medal was awarded to Reyyan Demiriz from Turkey and the bronze medal went to Kanlanfe Ingrid Ouali from the West African country of Burkina Faso, who won third place (bronze medal).
All three prizes of this year's UPU season went to female students.

Pham Doan Minh Khue is currently a student in class 11C2, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang. The letter he wrote in grade 10 was also the letter that won first prize in the national round last April.
The UPU International Letter Writing Competition is in its 54th year, attracting more than 1.6 million letters from 65 countries around the world. Vietnam has participated in this competition for 37 years and has had students win international prizes 19 times, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 8 third prizes and 6 consolation prizes.

The theme of this year's UPU International Letter Writing Competition is: "Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you and protect you."
Pham Doan Minh Khue wrote a letter to famous director James Cameron, asking him to make a film called "The Ocean's Appeal" to awaken the world.
Minh Khue was valedictorian of the history major entrance exam to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.
