The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the Group's investment expansion plan in Vietnam, including the O Mon II Gas-fired Thermal Power Plant project, the Quang Ninh LNG Power project, and wind and solar power farm projects.
General Director Naoki Ito affirmed that Vietnam is one of the Group's most important partners. He hopes that the Vietnamese Government will support the Group in completing contracts related to the ability to arrange capital for the O Mon II project.
Regarding this issue, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang to work directly with Mr. Naoki Ito on the same day to remove difficulties and obstacles.
★ On October 1, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son chaired a meeting to review and urge the implementation of commitments and agreements signed with partners within the framework of high-level foreign affairs activities over the past 9 months.
The Deputy Prime Minister directed ministries, branches and localities to specifically report in writing on the implementation of each international commitment and agreement; continue to closely follow the strategic resolutions of the Politburo and the Government's action program to propose areas and issues within their scope of responsibility that need to promote international cooperation.
