Accordingly, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City has completed preparations for the first instance trial of 254 defendants in the case of violations occurring at the Vietnam Register, 11 registration centers in Ho Chi Minh City and 3 registration centers in Long An, Ben Tre, and Soc Trang .
This trial has an exceptionally large number of defendants with 254 defendants; more than 200 lawyers and more than 60 victims, individuals and organizations, participating.
Notably, the trial will be held in person and online at two locations: the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court headquarters and Chi Hoa Detention Camp (T30), Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Duy, Chief of Office of the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City, depending on the progress of the trial, when interrogating a group of behaviors, the panel of judges will have an advance notice to request the extraction of defendants related to the courtroom at the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City. Defendants in temporary detention who are not yet in the group of behaviors being interrogated will follow the progress of the trial at the bridge point at the T30 detention camp. Defendants on bail must be present in person at the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City throughout the trial.
The trial is scheduled to take place on October 18, chaired by Judge Huynh Van Truc (Deputy Chief of the Criminal Court). Representatives of the People's Procuracy attending the trial are prosecutors: Tran Thi Lien (Deputy Head of the Department of Prosecution, Investigation, and Trial of Economic and Corruption Criminal Cases), Nguyen Vu Mai Diem, Le Truong Ha Linh, and Pham Van Hien.
