More than 200 fishermen were trained to improve their knowledge on disaster prevention, response and combating IUU fishing.

On September 25, Ky Khang Border Guard Station coordinated with the Red Cross Society of Ha Tinh province and the People's Committee of Hai Ninh ward, Ha Tinh province to organize a training course on propaganda on prevention, response to natural disasters, first aid and prevention of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing for fishermen in the sea area of ​​Hai Ninh ward.

Accordingly, within 1 day, more than 250 fishermen in Hai Ninh ward, Ha Tinh province were informed by Border Guard officers and the Provincial Red Cross about a number of contents such as: Disaster prevention and response, climate change adaptation for coastal fishermen; knowledge and skills of first aid; dissemination of legal regulations on fishing activities, regulations on combating IUU fishing for fishermen who are boat owners and captains fishing at sea...

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross and Ky Khang Border Guard Station presented 20 gifts to families affected by the recent storm No. 5 and 50 life buoys to fishermen in difficult circumstances in the area.
