More than 45,000 people walked in response to the message "One billion steps into a new era"

VHO - On the morning of August 16, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon Ward (Gia Lai), the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" was organized, attracting more than 45,000 people to participate in the walking activity; of which, the main point of the province was more than 5,000, the rest were from communes and wards.

At the main location of Gia Lai province, more than 5,000 people participated in the walking activity.

From early morning, thousands of forces, youths and people gathered at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon ward to participate in the program "Moving forward with Vietnam" with a walking parade responding to the message "One billion steps into the new era".

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Huy, Quy Nhon Nam Ward, Gia Lai Province excitedly shared: Since I learned about the program, I have been eager, looking forward to it and registered to participate. Therefore, today my family and I woke up at 4 am to go to Nguyen Tat Thanh Square to participate in the program.

Mr. Huy also shared that participating in this walk will help improve his health, and at the same time contribute to calling on all classes of people to exercise regularly to have good health to contribute to the country.

Solemn flag-saluting ceremony and singing of the National Anthem at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square

Immediately after the flag-raising ceremony and the singing of the National Anthem took place simultaneously at the locations according to the time frame of the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ), more than 45,000 people including officers, soldiers of the armed forces, civil servants, officials, youth union members and people across Gia Lai province participated in the walking activity.

Nguyen Tat Thanh Street this morning was more bustling and brilliant when it was dyed red by the red flag shirts with yellow stars of the program participants.

The program "Moving forward with Vietnam" with the message "One billion steps into the new era" is an activity that not only demonstrates patriotism, national pride, and contributes to reducing carbon emissions towards the country's Net Zero goal, but is also a journey of millions of hearts beating in unison, bringing together many generations and all classes of people from urban to rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas.

Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department Ngo Cu Vinh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the program in Gia Lai said: "We identify this as an important political and social activity, contributing to educating traditions, building the image of a brave, humane People's Police soldier, serving the people.

At the same time, it contributes to strengthening the close relationship between the police force and the people, creating social consensus, and building a solid people's security posture from the grassroots level."
