Guidance on religious activities according to law for dignitaries, officials, and Muslims (Islam)

On the morning of September 9, in Long Xuyen ward (An Giang), the Government Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference to guide religious activities in accordance with the law for dignitaries, officials, and Muslims in An Giang province.

Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Thi Minh Nga; Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province Danh Lam and over 120 delegates who are dignitaries, officials, and Muslims in An Giang province attended the conference.

At the conference, the reporters presented the following topics: Viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on beliefs and religions related to Islam; dissemination and guidance on the implementation of newly issued legal regulations on beliefs and religions and administrative procedures in the field of beliefs and religions.

Disseminate and guide the implementation of legal regulations on land and construction related to the activities of Islamic organizations; disseminate and guide the implementation of legal regulations on anti-money laundering and necessary recommendations to improve the effectiveness of anti-money laundering work related to religious organizations.

Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Thi Minh Nga said that although the activities of the Islamic community in An Giang province have achieved remarkable results, there have been inevitable difficulties, obstacles and some limitations. In addition, the work of preventing and combating money laundering in countries has always been of interest to international organizations in this field, requiring increasing objectivity and transparency.

The above reality requires domestic Islamic organizations to have an objective and neutral perspective, enhance responsibility and understanding of relevant laws to prevent and combat negative influences on purely religious activities of Islam in Vietnam.

The conference took place over two days, thereby helping dignitaries, officials, and followers of the Islamic Church (Islam) to grasp the above legal regulations, thereby proactively complying with the law, living, working, and studying with the spirit of an exemplary citizen, actively contributing to the strong development of the province's Muslim community as well as contributing to building An Giang province to be more and more prosperous and happy.
