On the morning of December 29, Dak Lak Statistics Office held a press conference to announce statistics on the province's socio -economic situation in 2023.

According to statistics, in 2023, the total product (GRDP) in the province (2010 comparable price) is estimated to reach more than 60,792 billion VND (up 4.39% compared to 2022), this is the lowest growth rate in the period 2019 - 2023; the annual grain output is 1,318,885 tons (up 3.36%); the province's industrial production index increased by 11.24%; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is more than 101,443 billion VND (up 7.34%); state budget revenue is more than 7,770 billion VND (equal to 76.93% of the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council, exceeding 4.62% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, down 14.68% compared to 2022); mobilized investment capital of more than VND 35,744 billion (exceeding 1.55% of the plan, up 0.02% over the previous year, accounting for 29.78% of the province's GRDP in 2023).

During the year, the whole province created jobs for about 30,170 people (100.57% of the plan); the rate of schools meeting national standards reached 60.9% (an increase of 3.02% compared to the end of 2022); the health system examined nearly 2.9 million people, treated over 305,600 inpatients, and treated over 49,800 outpatients; the total number of tourists reached 1,555,228 (an increase of 65.58%).

In 2023, there were 233 traffic accidents in the province (an increase of 14.22%), killing 197 people (an increase of 37.76%) and injuring 103 people (a decrease of 12.71% compared to 2022); there were 23 fires in the province, killing 2 people, injuring 2 people, with total estimated damage of nearly 7.9 billion VND.

According to the statistics sector leader, the growth and economic scale of Dak Lak province in 2023 are basically stable. However, many targets and programs did not achieve the set plan, such as: the number of newly established enterprises; the national target program on new rural construction; forest coverage rate; the rate of administrative procedures meeting the requirements for deploying online public services in the whole province...
