Iran determined to crack down on terrorism, dozens of elements were killed and arrested

On November 10, the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) continued its anti-terrorism campaign in Sistan-Baluchestan province in the southeast of the country, killing at least three terrorists and arresting nine others.

The spokesman for the forces participating in the campaign, Sardar Ahmed Shafaei, said that the operation to hunt down extremists began in Sistan-Baluchestan province on October 26.

In a statement on November 10, Mr. Shafaei added that since the launch of the operation, a total of 15 terrorists have been killed, 33 others have been arrested, while two others have surrendered.

The official stressed that Iranian forces are committed to continuing anti-terrorism efforts in the region.

On the same day, November 10, Fars news agency reported that at least five members of Iran's security forces were killed in a terrorist attack in Saravan district, southern Sistan-Baluchistan province.

Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, is a hotbed of armed groups and drug trafficking. On October 26, a group of militants attacked a border patrol in the province, killing 10 Iranian soldiers and police.
