The work is also quite diverse, such as: sewing teddy bears, sewing balls, processing shoe and clothing details, beading, cutting wax flowers, assembling electronic components and electrical wires; developing small business services... Normally, women only do one detail, one part of the work in the production chain, so the work is not very difficult but mainly requires time, diligence, meticulousness... These jobs are mostly suitable for women in difficult circumstances; have children and grandchildren who need care...

Help women improve their skills

According to the reflection of many rural women, having an additional job to increase income to help ensure family life, many people are very dedicated and enthusiastic about their work. Ms. Truong Thi Viet Bang in Lai Thuong village (An Lao commune) has a difficult situation. Her husband suffered a stroke, so every day, in addition to taking care of him, she still takes on extra work to assemble electrical wires at home. When she is busy delivering goods and cannot find someone to take care of her husband, she has to push a wheelchair to take him along, but always completes the work on time...

However, currently, the daily wage for women in their side jobs is very low, not commensurate with the effort they put in. Many women have to spend time both working and learning a trade but are not paid... Ms. Pham Thi Luong, Head of the Women's Association of Ang Duong 4 village (Vinh Thinh commune) said that currently, women in the village connect with a number of production facilities to receive goods to make, so the types of jobs are not diverse. Women hope that the authorities and local governments will act as a bridge to help them access more side jobs, giving them the opportunity to increase their income. In addition, middle-aged rural women have difficulty accessing vocational training that requires high technical skills. Therefore, if the authorities support appropriate vocational training, it will help women reduce their difficulties...
