End of phase 1 of the population campaign

Currently, localities in Quang Tri province have been actively implementing the Integrated Communication Campaign to provide population - family planning services to communes with high birth rates, high birth rates of third children and above, and communes in difficult areas by 2025 (referred to as the population - family planning campaign). Thereby, focusing on implementing the goal of reducing births and improving population quality, contributing to the successful implementation of the Vietnam Population Strategy to 2030.

According to the plan of the Provincial Population Office, the campaign will be organized in 2 phases. Phase 1, starting from March 28, 2025 and ending before April 30, 2025 (applied to communes from the budget of Resolution 45/2020/NQ-HDND on population policy and development of Quang Tri province for the period 2020 - 2025, vision 2030). The campaign will be organized for 2 days/commune. The campaign phase 2 will depend on the actual situation, and localities will proactively develop plans to achieve the assigned annual campaign targets.

Particularly for communes implementing the campaign from the funding source of Project 7 under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, district health centers proactively plan to implement the campaign locally immediately after the decision to allocate project operating funds is made and must ensure the end of the annual campaign according to the general regulations of the whole province.

The campaign focuses on providing 4 packages of DS - FP services, including: gynecological examination and treatment service package, striving for 100% of women of childbearing age who need to use modern contraceptive methods in the campaign to be supported with gynecological examination and medication after detecting common gynecological diseases.

The family planning service package achieved over 85% of the target for long-term contraceptive measures in the year, and 90% for short-term contraceptive measures. The pre-marital health consultation service package, the province-wide campaign target, achieved over 85% of the target for young men and women receiving pre-marital health check-ups in the year.

The consultation and screening service package to detect fetal defects has at least 25% of pregnant mothers in the year being consulted on prenatal and newborn screening in campaign communes across the province, prioritizing high-risk subjects.

Communes in the campaign area must ensure that 100% of the targets for implementing modern contraceptive methods, pre-marital health check-ups, and prenatal and newborn screening targets are achieved by 2025.
