Phuong Cuu Market is in Ninh Hai Commune ( Ninh Thuan Province), about 15km from the center of the old Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.
The market is famous for its delicious food at affordable prices, so tourists call it the "cheapest market in the Central region". In recent years, the market has also become an attractive destination for food lovers.
During a visit to Phuong Cuu market a month ago, Trinh Quang Khai (born 2001, HCMC) really enjoyed the bustling trading scene from early morning. Hundreds of traders and people were busy buying and selling all kinds of goods, from seafood, vegetables, clothes to dried goods.
The most crowded place is the food court. From adults to children sit around the food stalls, waiting to enjoy breakfast.

Khai said that Phuong Cuu market sells a variety of attractive dishes, from hot, filling dishes like banh cuon and banh canh to snacks and desserts like banana cake, banh xeo, che tam, and jelly.
In particular, the dishes here are all sold at affordable prices, only from 2,000 - 3,000 VND, as cheap as a glass of iced tea.
The Southern guy tried some dishes such as jelly for 2,000 VND, fish cake noodle soup for 3,000 VND, sweet soup for 5,000 VND, fried banana for 5,000 VND, pancake for 5,000 VND, spring rolls for 10,000 VND, and vermicelli with fish sauce for 10,000 VND.
Among them, Khai was impressed with the noodle soup dish which cost only 3,000 VND/bowl but was served with a few pieces of fish cakes.
“She sells very cheap fish cake noodle soup, each bowl costs from 3,000, 5,000 to 10,000 VND, depending on the portion the customer orders.
The dish is cheap but has a delicious, rich flavor. The noodles are soft, chewy, and soaked in the broth, and the fish cakes are also fresh and delicious,” Khai shared his feelings.

With only 50,000 - 100,000 VND, visitors can eat a lot of delicious dishes, enough for 2 people to experience. The fruits in the market are also commented by 10X to have surprisingly cheap prices, such as durian for only 25,000 VND/kg.
“Although the fruit is not big, the quality is good. The saleswomen even let customers taste it for free. Whether they buy it or not, they are still very friendly and cheerful,” Khai said.

The young man revealed that he had visited many different rural markets in different localities but considered Phuong Cuu market to be one of the cheapest places to eat in the Central region.
He also suggested that if you want to visit Phuong Cuu market, you should come here on the weekend and go very early. Because the rural market usually opens early in the morning, around 5-7 am is the busiest time.
If you arrive late near the market closing time, it will be difficult to feel the bustling atmosphere here and you will miss the opportunity to enjoy many fresh and delicious dishes.
In addition to enjoying the local cuisine, guests can also buy specialties as gifts such as dried onions and garlic, Ninh Thuan grapes, dried seafood (sun-dried squid, anchovies), salt...
However, when coming to Phuong Cuu market, visitors need to pay attention to a few small things to have a more enjoyable and complete experience.
Visitors should prepare cash, especially small change, because most stalls do not accept payment by card or e-wallet. Before buying, ask for the price and avoid excessive bargaining to show respect for local culture.
If you want to film or take photos, you should ask permission to avoid disturbing the activities of the vendors. Due to the hot weather, visitors are advised to bring hats, hand fans or apply sunscreen to protect their health.
