Opening of the 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee

Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and leaders of central ministries, departments and branches attended the congress.

In his opening speech, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, emphasized that the 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, is a major political event, of special significance for the development path of Da Nang City in the context of entering the "New Era of National Development" with the country, with many new opportunities, fortunes and development motivations.

According to Secretary of the City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo and guiding documents of the Central Committee, the 1st Congress of the City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, will be held with 2 contents.

On that basis, the City Party Executive Committee has focused on drafting documents to be submitted to the Congress to ensure quality, brevity, scientificity, and rigor, ensuring the requirements for organizing the implementation of the resolution and the resolution implementation program immediately after the Congress in the spirit of clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear authority, and clear results, comprehensively covering the new development space of the city.

During the process of drafting the document, the City Party Executive Committee received many enthusiastic and responsible opinions from leaders of the Party, State, central departments, ministries, branches, party organizations and cadres, party members, socio-political organizations at all levels, revolutionary veterans, generations of city leaders, intellectuals, scientists and people from all walks of life, contributing to perfecting the document to be presented at the Congress.

Along with that, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee issued instructions and directed Party committees at all levels to successfully organize congresses for the 2025-2030 term.

By August 5, all 840 grassroots party committees and cells, and 97 party committees directly under the City Party Committee had completed their congresses, achieving the required results and nearly a month earlier than the plan directed by the Central Committee.

Towards the congress, in recent times, all levels, sectors and localities have launched patriotic emulation movements enthusiastically and widely, many important projects have been started and inaugurated, achieving many outstanding achievements to welcome the congress.

The success of party congresses at all levels is an important premise for reviewing and doing well the preparations for organizing the 1st Congress of the City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

“In particular, through reviewing the preparations for the Congress, the Politburo and the Central Secretariat highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and determination of the City Party Executive Committee in both leading and directing the reorganization of the political system, operating the two-level local government on schedule, focusing on socio-economic development solutions to ensure the target of double-digit economic growth, and promptly completing the city's key leadership personnel and seriously and methodically preparing for the organization of the Congress,” said the Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

Looking back on the past term, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the city has experienced many difficulties and challenges, especially in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, with the spirit of solidarity and high determination, the Party Committee, government and people of the two localities of Da Nang - Quang Nam have made efforts to control and overcome the consequences of the pandemic, resolutely, creatively and flexibly deployed solutions to implement resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, overcoming many difficulties, implementing key targets and tasks during the term and achieving many positive results.

“The results achieved demonstrate the determination and great efforts of the entire political system and the joint efforts and consensus of the entire people and business community of the city with the strong aspiration to rise up of the people of Quang Nam who are self-reliant, self-reliant, confident, creative, flexible, resilient, and undaunted in the face of difficulties,” Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.

The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee believes that the congress will make historic decisions and contribute practical and quality opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, thereby demonstrating the responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City towards the country's important issues.
