Over the years, Dong Nai province has always been a pioneer in elephant conservation and achieved encouraging results. Specifically, Dong Nai province has deployed the construction of an electric fence system with a length of more than 70 km separating the living and farming areas of people and wild elephants to minimize conflicts between elephants and people; using camera traps to monitor and study the habits of elephants to find appropriate protection solutions. Along with that are propaganda and education campaigns that contribute to raising people's awareness of the importance of living in harmony with elephants. Thanks to these efforts, the elephant herd in Dong Nai is now living stably and developing.

However, the reality is that conflicts between elephants and humans are still a big challenge, requiring drastic and coordinated actions. Elephant Conservation Week with many specific activities helps people raise awareness, understand the living habits of elephants and increase love for this wild animal, contributing to elephant conservation.
