Construction of Ngoi Phat bridge, part of the project to build a road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, began.

On the morning of August 19, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for package No. 14: Construction of Ngoi Phat bridge under the project to build a road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from km4+300 to km7+500, a connecting branch line and a bridge over Ngoi Phat stream.

The project to build a road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from km4+300 to km7+500, a connecting branch line and a bridge over Ngoi Phat stream was approved for investment by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province in Decision No. 2805/QD-UBND dated November 1, 2024, with a total investment of 380 billion VND, from the State budget.

The project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board; the construction unit is a joint venture of Lao Cai Bridge Joint Stock Company - Lao Cai Construction and Inspection Joint Stock Company.

The project includes connecting roads and Ngoi Phat bridge, of which the connecting road includes: the main route is 3.2 km long, designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, designed speed of 80 km/h, road width of 20 m; the branch connecting route is designed according to the standards of a grade III mountainous road, designed speed of 60 km/h, road width of 8 m.

Ngoi Phat Bridge, spanning Ngoi Phat stream, is located in the border area of ​​Bat Xat and Trinh Tuong communes. It is 198.2 m long, 22.5 m wide, and has a span structure of 5 prestressed reinforced concrete girders.

After completing the project to build a road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from Km4+300 to Km7+500, the branch line and the bridge over Ngoi Phat stream will complete the new provincial road 156 running along the right bank of the Red River. Thereby improving the efficiency of exploiting the Ban Vuoc border gate area, Kim Thanh border gate area, serving the urban development along the Red River to the North, meeting future transportation needs. In particular, when the road bridge across the Red River in the Bat Xat (Vietnam) - Ba Sai (China) area is completed, it will contribute to socio-economic development, serving national defense and security; in line with the general planning for the construction of Lao Cai border gate economic zone, Lao Cai province until 2040, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1627/QD-TTg dated November 23, 2018.
