Foreign investors continue to dump stocks on the stock exchange.

Market liquidity dropped sharply, down nearly VND5,000 billion compared to the previous session. Foreign investors continued to net sell for the fourth consecutive session on the HOSE with a net selling value of more than VND540 billion.

Although VN-Index only decreased by more than 2 points, many large stocks decreased sharply.

The Vietnamese stock market in the trading session on August 15 recorded a decline in large-cap stocks, making the trading market less exciting.

Blue-chip stocks with VIC fell 3.55%, contributing to pressure on the index.

Most banking stocks decreased, such as STB down 1.25%, BID down 1.26%, EIB down 1.2%, OCB down 2.01%, MSB down 2.08%, other stocks such as VCB, SSB, VIB,ACB also down nearly 1%. Securities stocks also tended to be red, such as SSI down 1.54%, VND down 1.4%, VCI down 1.26%, HCM down 1.63%...

The real estate group has a differentiation with some stocks still increasing strongly such as: ITA, CEO, L14, DRH increased to the ceiling, VRE increased by 3.3%, LGC increased by 1.16%... meanwhile, in addition to VIC, there are also BCM decreasing by 0.41%, NVL decreasing by 2.35%, KDH decreasing by 1.37%, TCH decreasing by 3.32%, PDR decreasing by 1.75%...

At the end of the trading session, VN-Index decreased by 2.79 points (0.23%) to 1,234.05 points with 232 stocks increasing, 221 stocks decreasing and 78 stocks remaining unchanged.

At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 1.01 points (0.40%) to 251.45 points with 102 stocks increasing, 94 stocks decreasing and 57 stocks remaining unchanged. Liquidity dropped sharply, with the total trading value in the whole market being only nearly VND22,400 billion compared to more than VND27,100 billion in the previous session.
