Highlight Italy 1-1 Croatia
It seemed like Croatia had a ticket to the next round when they led Italy until the 90+8 minute. However, when the Croatian players and fans were ready to celebrate, they suddenly fell into hell.
Zaccagni's curling shot cut into the hearts of the Croatians. The sky fell on the Balkan team after the fateful equalizer in the 90+8 minute. From heaven, they suddenly fell into a dark hell. The Croatian players collapsed on the pitch, crying their eyes out on the tragic day in Leipzig.

Football is always cruel in that way. Croatians understand that rule. Coach Zlatko Dalic's team finished third in Group B with 2 points. With that score, Croatia was almost certainly eliminated.
However, there is still a ray of hope for them. In the rankings of the best third-placed teams at the moment, Croatia is definitely below the three teams of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. All three of these teams have the same 3 points.
Therefore, they can only wait for the developments in Groups C and F to find the light at the end of the road. They must finish above the third-placed teams in these two groups to qualify for the next round.
In Group C, England leads with 4 points and is certain to qualify. Three teams Denmark (2 points, goal difference 0), Slovenia (2 points, goal difference 0) and Serbia (1 point, goal difference -1) will have to fight for a ticket.
Croatia will finish above the third-placed team in Group C if one of the following two conditions is met:
Slovenia lose by 3 or more goals to England and Serbia lose to Denmark. Slovenia will then finish third in Group C with 2 points and a goal difference of -3. They will finish below Croatia on goal difference.
Or Serbia beat Denmark by 3 or more goals, and Slovenia lose to England by 3 or more goals. Denmark would then finish 3rd with a goal difference of -3. They would also finish below Croatia on goal difference.
In Group F, Portugal is certain to advance as the top team with 6 points. Türkiye is ranked second with 3 points. The Czech Republic and Georgia both have 1 point. Croatia will be above the third-placed team in Group F if Georgia loses to Portugal and the Czech Republic falls to Türkiye.
It should be emphasized that Croatia will only advance if the conditions in Group C and Group F occur simultaneously. The probability of all of them happening is not too high. However, the Balkan team can now only pray and wait for a miracle to happen.
