Checking 2 bridges with access roads washed away by flood in Chiem Hoa

The initial cause was determined to be heavy rain and floods, causing sudden changes in the flow of water, causing the embankment to erode. Currently, two bridges have been fenced off.

According to statistics from the Department of Transport, the damage caused by storm No. 3 and flood discharge from Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant from September 8 to 12 caused flooding, damage and severe damage to road traffic infrastructure, many locations had landslides on positive and negative slopes, road breaks, bridge cone collapses, rock and soil erosion, culverts, ditches, curbs and road surfaces.

Specifically, there are 235 positive slope locations where soil and rocks have washed away and filled sewers, ditches, and road surfaces with an estimated volume of about 107,000 m3. Negative slope landslides have an estimated volume of about 378md. The damaged road surface has been pushed up and down, cracked and sunk 1,360m2; the positive slope steel cage has been pushed up and down 60m; erosion and damage to construction ditches and reinforced curbs has an estimated volume of about 613md; flooding and inundation of 44 locations; landslides at the four cones of Vac bridge on National Highway 37 and Dong 3 bridge on National Highway 2C; garbage, drifting trees... stuck in bridge piers (Nong Tien bridge, Tuyen Quang city, 3 piers, Son Duong bridge, Son Duong town, Son Duong district). The total cost of damage and preliminary damage recovery is estimated at about 80,477 billion VND.

271 landslides and traffic jams in districts and cities are estimated to cause damage of about 40 billion VND. Currently, the Department of Transport and localities are focusing on overcoming and ensuring travel conditions for people.
