Macadamia tree planting model using pure species method in Thuc Phan ward
The delegation inspected the experimental model: 0 2 hectares of macadamia trees planted in a pure-species manner in Phuc Hoa commune and Thuc Phan ward; the macadamia planting model using agroforestry methods was tested on 2.0 hectares of area in Tan Giang ward and Nguyen Binh commune. The total number of grafted trees was over 1,110 of the experimental lines QN1, 816, A38.
Testing the asexual lineage testing model combined with parent tree garden implemented at Le Chung High-Tech Park, Tan Giang Ward. The lines included in the test include: A4, A800, OC, 856, 849, 246, 842, A16, 741, QN1, A38, 816.
All models will be planted from 2023, the care process will be directly guided by the project's technical staff according to the correct process. The survival rate of the trees is 85 - 90%. Currently, the trees are growing stably, some trees have fruited.

The delegation also reviewed the progress report, records, and documents demonstrating the progress of the Project . The inspection showed that the host unit and the implementation team are implementing the tasks according to the approved schedule and content. The results achieved: The Project has tested 12 macadamia lines to ensure conditions for evaluation to find macadamia lines suitable for local ecological conditions. The results have selected a number of suitable macadamia lines such as QN1, 816, A38. At the same time, the construction of a macadamia propagation garden has been completed to ensure service for the implementation of the project's grafting experiment. The experiment on macadamia grafting season has been completed to evaluate the appropriate and effective grafting season in actual local conditions. The results show that the grafting season in March every year gives a survival rate of over 90% and the best growth. Not only that, the parent tree garden and the propagation garden also ensure the source of materials and places to graft macadamia seedlings, serving the need to expand seedling production, contributing to diversifying the crop structure and improving local livelihoods...

In addition, the Inspection Team requested the unit in charge and in charge of the task to pay attention to a number of contents: Mobilizing households to quickly perform topping and canopy shaping for trees during favorable weather; propagating so that people do not plant single lines, because Macadamia is a tree species with cross-pollination characteristics; when applying agroforestry methods to improve the soil, it is necessary to plant far from the base, avoiding other crops limiting the growth of Macadamia trees; continuing to guide households in care, fertilization, ensuring enough nutrition for the trees to grow and develop well./.
