The Kyiv Independent, an online newspaper in Ukraine, reported on November 3 that the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the country's National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, said that Google had recently uploaded updated images on the map that exposed the locations of the Eastern European country's military systems.

In response, Kiev contacted the US tech giant to quickly resolve the issue, but the time "was the weekend and not a priority for Google".

Mr. Kovalenko said that Russian forces were quick to take advantage of the above images from Google. After the public reaction, Google representatives contacted Ukrainian officials and confirmed that the company was working to fix the problem.

According to Mr. Kovalenko, Ukraine will continue to discuss with Google ways to quickly resolve similar issues in the future.

Regarding the conflict situation, AP news agency quoted Ukrainian officials as saying that Russia used 96 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 1 guided missile to attack Ukraine last weekend.

Accordingly, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 66 UAVs and missiles. In addition, 27 other UAVs were "missing" in various areas, possibly due to electronic jamming, while 1 UAV flew into Belarusian airspace. So far, there is no information about the number of casualties caused by the attack.

For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 19 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down on the night of November 2nd to the morning of November 3rd in the three provinces of Rostov, Belgorod and Volgograd. According to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, one person was killed on November 3rd in the Ukrainian UAV attack on Belgorod province.

In another development, on November 2, Czech President Petr Pavel allowed 60 of his country's citizens to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces and participate in the conflict with Russia.

Reacting to this move, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma (Lower House) of Russia, Leonid Slutsky, called this a "death sentence" for his compatriots just because of America's global ambitions and Kiev's fleeting interests.
