The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly will give opinions on 47 draft laws.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: This session of the National Assembly Standing Committee is very important, giving opinions on many important draft laws and decisions to be submitted to the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly. The 10th session will summarize the entire term of the 15th National Assembly, and review preparations for the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

In the law-making work, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions and pass 13 draft laws, including 7 draft laws given for the first time and 6 draft laws discussed by the National Assembly in the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Implementing Resolution 66 of the Politburo on law-making, at the 10th session of the National Assembly, the Government will present up to 90 important contents, but the 15th National Assembly will only pass important and necessary bills. Any bills that need to be approved in 2 sessions will be transferred to the new National Assembly.

According to the agenda of the 48th session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will review the National Assembly's report on people's petitions in July 2025; review the report of the Thematic Supervision Delegation on "Implementation of policies and laws on development and use of human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, especially high-quality human resources".

At the same time, give opinions on: Special mechanisms and policies for investment in the construction of Gia Binh International Airport; explanation, acceptance, and revision of the draft Law on State of Emergency; explanation, acceptance, and revision of 4 drafts of the Law on Extradition, the Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences, the Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Civil Matters, the Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters; give opinions on the draft Law on Temporary Detention, Temporary Imprisonment and Prohibition from Leaving the Place of Residence; the draft Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments (amended); the Law on Enforcement of Civil Judgments (amended).

The National Assembly Standing Committee also gave opinions on explaining, accepting and revising the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils; considered and approved the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee regulating the implementation of democracy within the agencies of the National Assembly and the agencies of the People's Councils; gave opinions on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; gave opinions on the draft Law on Higher Education (amended); gave opinions on the draft Law on Vocational Education (amended).

Comment on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on the use of local budgets to support costs for Samsung Group's investment projects in Vietnam; Review and approve the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee stipulating the list of tasks, activities and expenditure quotas for each task and activity for the content of examination, approval of legal documents and examination, approval, and decision on joining international treaties and international organizations; Comment on the draft Law on Drug Prevention and Control (amended); Review and approve the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the number of regional State Audit units under the State Audit.

The meeting is expected to last for three days.
