On June 24, speaking with VietNamNet , Mr. Dinh Phan Khoi - Head of the General Administration Department, Vinh University (Vinh City, Nghe An ) said that the unit had just issued a disciplinary warning decision for two male staff members working at the school, Mr. Dinh Xuan Duc - Specialist, Assistant Student Management of the Pedagogical School and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quyen - Specialist, Head of the One-Stop Department of the General Administration Department.

According to Mr. Dinh Phan Khoi, after learning about the incident through the reflection of female students related to the behavior of the two officials mentioned above, the school established an inspection team to verify the incident. The results showed that the actions of Mr. Duc and Mr. Quyen seriously affected the honor and reputation of the school.

"The school has asked the two officers to explain and invited the police to cooperate. After the final conclusion, the school has taken strict action. According to the Law on Civil Servants, there are three levels of discipline including reprimand, warning and dismissal. The school has applied warnings to the two officers," said Mr. Khoi.

Also according to the Head of the General Administration Department, after the incident, the two officers sincerely admitted their mistakes and were fully aware that the incident had seriously affected the school.

"Mr. Quyen admitted to touching the female student's shoulder and being too intimate. The school checked the camera, but because the camera angle was hidden, it could not see everything.

Regarding Mr. Duc's case, this female student had previously violated the law and was disciplined by the school. Mr. Duc was the person in charge of student management, and then the incident as reported by the female student occurred. Mr. Duc admitted his mistake," Mr. Dinh Phan Khoi added.

Previously, on social networks, two female students from Vinh University posted posts, accusing two officials working at the school of sexually harassing them and sending them sensitive photos.

A Facebook account said that she was a student of K64 at Vinh University. At the end of last semester, the female student was disciplined for her studies and had to meet Mr. Duc (student manager of the Pedagogy Faculty) to resolve the issue. After that, for a month, the female student continuously received calls and messages from him, asking for sexual favors. The female student of K65 also posted content on the Vinh University Students group, accusing a school official named Quyen of sexually harassing her when she came to ask for her transcript to be notarized.

A representative of Vinh University said that the unit has worked with two female students who accused the staff of molesting them. Currently, the school has established a disciplinary council and is waiting for the conclusion to handle the case.
