Disciplinary reprimand for Chairman and Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee

Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, was disciplined with a reprimand for violations and shortcomings in his work and was subject to Party disciplinary action.

The Prime Minister issued Decisions to discipline the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province.

Accordingly, in Decision No. 1549/QD-TTg dated December 12, 2024, disciplinary action in the form of reprimand was taken against Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, for violations and shortcomings in his work and for which he was subject to Party discipline; the disciplinary period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1796-QD/UBKTTW dated November 8, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission .

The Prime Minister also issued Decision No. 1542/QD-TTg dated December 11, 2024, disciplining Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, in the form of a reprimand for his violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Commission has disciplined the Party; the disciplinary period is from the announcement of Decision No. 1797-QD/UBKTTW dated November 8, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission.

Previously, on October 28 and 29, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 49th meeting to review and propose disciplinary action against many Party organizations and Party members who violated the law.

Specifically, at the Session, after reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, proposing disciplinary action against the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, the Central Inspection Committee found that the Party Committee of the People's Committee of the province for the terms of 2016-2021, 2021-2026 violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lacked responsibility, loosened leadership and direction, allowing the People's Committee of the province and many organizations and individuals to violate the Party's regulations and the State's laws in organizing the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh Road construction investment project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city; in implementing a number of solar and wind power projects.

Some cadres and party members, including key cadres of the province, violated Party regulations and State laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

Personal responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings belongs to Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a number of other officials.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violations; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose disciplinary action of reprimand on Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha./.
