The program aims to promote trade, advertise and develop the dragon fruit industry, boost consumption of local agricultural products through digital platforms under the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

The event "Dragon Fruit Livestream Party" was organized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province and the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association in collaboration with Artist Thanh Thuy, with the participation of leaders of Lam Dong province and related units and localities.

According to Mr. Huynh Canh, Chairman of Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association (Lam Dong), this event is of great significance, aiming to introduce and promote the image of dragon fruit, enhancing the brand value of Vietnamese agricultural products. At the same time, connecting producers - distributors - e-commerce units, promoting product consumption through commercial livestream.

The program will organize demonstrations, product experiences and online interactive activities with consumers. Along with that, discuss solutions for sustainable development of the dragon fruit industry, expanding domestic and foreign consumption markets.

According to the plan, on August 19, after the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee will Livestream TikTok Shop to introduce dragon fruit and other local agricultural products and specialties. In the evening of the same day, there will be a Facebook Livestream - Story of connecting and selling specialties.

According to the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association, the province currently has about 25,800 hectares of dragon fruit, accounting for nearly 40% of the country's area. The area for stable harvest is more than 22,000 hectares. The output is estimated at 520,000 tons, up 7% over the same period in 2024 thanks to favorable weather and lighting techniques.

In the first half of 2025, the dragon fruit industry in Lam Dong province continued to affirm its leading position in the country. With favorable climatic conditions, along with the efforts of farmers and businesses, output and export value both grew quite well.

Not only maintaining the traditional market in China, the province also expands to high-end markets such as the EU, the US, Japan, Korea and potential emerging markets such as India and the Middle East.

Despite the positive signs, the dragon fruit industry still faces many challenges, including increasingly stringent quarantine and traceability requirements, rising transportation costs, and fierce competition from Thailand, Ecuador, and China itself.
