Lam Dong rewards students who won silver medals at the International Informatics Olympiad with 200 million VND

Lam Dong province commended and awarded Dang Huy Hau, a 10th grade IT student at Thang Long High School for the Gifted - Da Lat, for winning a silver medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics with a prize of 200 million VND.

On August 22, at the ceremony to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, praised and awarded the province's 200 million VND prize to Dang Huy Hau, a 10th grade IT student at Thang Long - Da Lat High School for the Gifted, who won a silver medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics.

As Thanh Nien reported, at the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Bolivia from July 27 to August 3, student Dang Huy Hau won a silver medal. Dang Huy Hau's achievement is not only the pride of himself, his family, his teachers and his school, but also the honor of the education sector of Lam Dong province.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hau consecutively achieved valedictorian status in the national excellent student exam, including a score of 100/100; second prize in the national Olympic Informatics team selection exam; silver medal in Asia- Pacific Informatics and most prestigiously, the silver medal in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).

On this occasion, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province also awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, teacher in charge of the 2025 IT team of Thang Long High School for the Gifted - Da Lat.

Also at the ceremony, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to Tran Vinh Khang (grade 12 Physics, Thang Long - Da Lat High School for the Gifted), valedictorian of block D07, and Doan Thien An (grade 12A1, Ham Thuan Bac High School), valedictorian of block A00 in the Southeast Lam Dong region in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
