Clarifying distorted information about Quang Ninh Provincial Police on Facebook

On May 25, Quang Ninh Provincial Police said that on May 19, 2023, on the Facebook page "Viet Tan" posted a video with content related to the process of organizing security for the construction of the resettlement area infrastructure project, Van Yen commune administrative area (Van Don, Quang Ninh) of Van Yen commune People's Committee, in which "Viet Tan" denounced the functional forces during the process of performing the construction security task, insulting the officials.

In the above video, “Viet Tan” distorted that Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet’s family in Dai Lang village, Van Yen commune is a revolutionary family, always following the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s laws, but became victims of the “land grabbing regime”.

Also according to information from Quang Ninh Provincial Police, the infrastructure project for the resettlement area and administrative area of Van Yen commune was approved and started construction in June 2022.

When construction reached the area of the land plot that had been cleared by Mr. Tran Cong Thanh, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet's family and relatives often came to the site to prevent the construction. Ms. Tuyet said that this was "disputed forest land" with Mr. Tran Cong Thanh and the contractor was constructing on the forest land owned by Ms. Tuyet's family.

Regarding the origin of the above land plot, based on the records and documents provided by the People's Committee of Van Yen commune, Van Don district, it is determined that the owner of the above land plot belongs to Mr. Tran Cong Thanh.

The People's Committee of Van Don district's plan to compensate, clear the land, recover land, and protect the project construction for the forest land area in Dai Lang village, Van Yen commune of Mr. Tran Cong Thanh's family is in accordance with the law; Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet's family no longer has any rights or obligations related to the above land plot.

However, from March 2023 to present, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet has regularly used her social media account to post articles and videos on groups related to the process of Van Yen Commune People's Committee organizing construction protection, including some content that is untrue and violates the law.

Taking advantage of this issue like many other incidents, "Viet Tan" has published and written articles to incite the masses to have a one-sided and "hostile" view of the government.

"This is an extremely sinister and vicious plot and trick of "Viet Tan" as well as other exiled reactionary organizations that the masses need to be extremely vigilant about," Quang Ninh Provincial Police warned.

The Ministry of Public Security has issued an official announcement confirming that "Viet Tan" along with "Provisional National Government of Vietnam" and "Viet Dynasty" are terrorist organizations. It is requested that everyone not participate in or share articles of the above-mentioned exiled reactionary organizations, especially "Viet Tan".

People need to be vigilant against this organization's propaganda and distortions aimed at discrediting the Party and State, undermining people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State, and causing confusion among the people.
