Spreading youth to disadvantaged areas

Regardless of the distance, each trip, the gift of the Youth Union of the City Party Agencies to the difficult areas is a sharing, a responsible companion. With the spirit of youth's initiative and creativity, the union members and young people are spreading humanistic values ​​every day, contributing to building the difficult countryside to be warmer and more changing.

In early June, Nguyen Van Truong Kien (a student at Hoa Son Primary School No. 1) happily received a new bicycle presented by the City Party Committee. The bicycle was not only a material gift but also a great spiritual encouragement, giving Kien more strength on his journey to conquer knowledge.

Kien's family situation was difficult, he had to depend on his elderly grandparents since he was young, but he always tried to improve himself and achieved excellent results in his studies. "I was very happy to receive gifts from my brothers and sisters. This is a great motivation for me to try harder in my studies," Kien confided.

In recent times, many activities of caring for and sharing love with children and disadvantaged families in mountainous and border areas have become the beauty and mark of the City Party Committee's Youth Union.

Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the City Party Agencies, the Youth Union of the City Party Agencies promotes the spirit of volunteerism, spreading the good values ​​of youth to difficult areas.

Secretary of the City Party Committee's Youth Union Le Van Tan shared: "We clearly identify the responsibility of youth union members in accompanying the community, especially in places with many difficulties. The activities of the Youth Union do not stop at giving gifts, but more importantly, bring people confidence, encouragement, and motivation to help them improve in life."

Linking movements with practical needs

Currently, the City Party Agencies Youth Union has 5 affiliated youth organizations with nearly 500 members. Although the force is not too large, the young people are always ready to go to remote areas, with the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth".

In 2025, the City Party Committee's Youth Union issued many practical and specific action plans such as the plan to organize youth union activities in 2025, organize Youth Month 2025 and the program "Journey to the source". This is the guideline for activities throughout the year, demonstrating creativity, proactiveness, practicality, and suitability for each locality.

Notably, the City Party Committee's delegation organized a ceremony to present a youth project worth 30 million VND in Nam Giang district; supported bicycles and means of livelihood for disabled youth households, and gave gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties with a total cost of 46 million VND.

Youth Month activities, "Summer Volunteering", "Repaying Gratitude" are maintained and implemented regularly, contributing to making a mark of youth in the community.

In early March, the City Party Committee's Youth Union launched the Youth Month combined with the Tree Planting Festival at the Hoa Phu Commune Martyrs' Cemetery, and handed over livestock and crop seeds to the Commune Youth Union with a total cost of 28.5 million VND.

Recently, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Delegation coordinated to light candles in gratitude at the Hoa Tien Commune Martyrs Cemetery; visited and presented 10 gifts to policy families and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, each worth 1 million VND.

Meaningful activities help members train themselves and show gratitude and remember the previous generation who sacrificed for the Fatherland.

The 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign left its mark with the "Lighting" project in Song Vang commune, welcoming the success of the Party Congress of the City Party Agencies, with a total budget of 40 million VND.

In addition to social security activities, young people also focus on applying technology and digital transformation to the Union's operation methods.

From organizing online propaganda sessions to social media campaigns, the spirit of creativity and innovation helps the City Party Committee's Youth Union expand its reach, attracting the attention and support of a large number of youth union members.

Mr. Le Van Tan said: “Every activity, every project, big or small, shows the enthusiasm and responsibility of the youth. We will continue to innovate our working methods, promote youth, spread humanistic values, and contribute to the city in taking better care of disadvantaged areas, so that no one is left behind.”
