*VTC News continues to update...
From August 12 to August 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will coordinate with higher education institutions nationwide to organize virtual screening and university admissions for 2023. After completing the virtual screening process, the Ministry of Education and Training will return the results to the training institutions.
After that, the schools will consider all the candidates' admission applications on the system and upload them to the system for virtual filtering, with measures to check and compare the data to ensure correct and complete data before considering admission.
Before 5pm on September 6, all successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the system. If candidates do not confirm their admission, they will have to wait for additional admission in the next admission rounds of the universities.
For candidates who are eligible for direct admission by the Ministry, from July 5 to 5:00 p.m. on August 15, candidates can confirm their admission on the system. Candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to register for other admission wishes. In case candidates want to change their admission wishes to other wishes, they must be approved by the principal or director of the registered training institution.
If candidates have not yet decided on admission, they can continue to register other wishes on the national public service portal system. If admitted, admission will be confirmed according to schedule.
According to data published by the Ministry of Education and Training, by the end of the first round of admission registration, a total of more than 660,000 candidates had completed entering their wishes into the system. In 2023, the rate of candidates registering for university admission was 66% of the total number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam, an increase of about 2% compared to last year - 64.07%.
The total number of wishes registered by candidates is more than 3.4 million, on average each candidate registers more than 5 wishes for the first round of university admission. This year, about 292,000 students did not register for the first round of university admission.
