Match schedule of Vietnam Futsal team in 2026 Asian qualifiers

The 2026 AFC Futsal Championship qualifiers have 31 participating teams, divided into 8 groups, including 7 groups of 4 teams and 1 group of 3 teams.

The teams will compete in a round-robin format at the host country's venue, with the eight group winners and seven best runners-up qualifying for the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship in Indonesia in January 2026.

According to the draw results, the Vietnam Futsal team is in group E with Lebanon, China and Hong Kong (China).

The team will meet Hong Kong on September 20, China on September 22 and Lebanon on September 24.

Currently, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team are training in Kuwait and had a friendly match (won 3-2) against the host team.

As planned, at 10pm tonight, September 13, Vietnam time, the two teams will continue to compete again in the return friendly match.

Evaluating this trip, coach Diego Giustozzi emphasized: “The two friendly matches with Kuwait are of a different nature from the matches in the Asian qualifiers, but will be a valuable opportunity for important players who have just returned from injury such as Duc Hoa, Ngoc Linh... to regain their international playing rhythm, while also helping other players gain more experience.”

On September 14, the Vietnam Futsal team will travel straight to China to officially enter the 2026 Asian Futsal qualifying round.
