2025 Men's Volleyball World Championship schedule on September 16 - Graphics: AN BINH
At 9am, the Brazilian men's volleyball team will face the Czech Republic to open the competition day on September 16. In the previous match, the South American representative quickly showed their superior strength with an easy 3-1 victory over China.
The Czech Republic created a surprise when they defeated Serbia 3-0. With those victories, these two teams are highly rated for the ticket to the next round in Group H. But first, they will have a direct competition in the second match and whichever team wins will almost certainly pass the group stage. Brazil is rated much higher in this match.
At 9:30, Korea will face Argentina. Up to this point in the tournament, Asian teams have caused a lot of disappointment as no team has won. Even a world volleyball powerhouse like Japan has been eliminated early after 2 crushing defeats.
South Korea is also facing a similar risk, having lost their opening match against France and will now face Argentina, the world's 9th-ranked team, in their second match.
In addition to South Korea, there will be three other Asian teams competing on September 16. Iran is considered to have the best chance of winning when it only has to face Tunisia, a team ranked 40th in the world (Iran is ranked 15th). This match will take place at 12:30.
The Philippines will then face Egypt at 4:30 p.m. The Southeast Asian team is the host of the 2025 Men's Volleyball World Championship, but is significantly weaker than average. Therefore, the Philippines is at risk of continuing to lose heavily.
Meanwhile, China will have to face a very strong opponent, Serbia, at 8:00 p.m.
* The competition schedule may change depending on the arrangement of the tournament organizers.
