After winning the championship of the 2nd round of the Southeast Asian Women's Volleyball Championship - SEA V.League 2025 at Ninh Binh Provincial Stadium, the Vietnamese women's team moved to Dong Anh Stadium to prepare for a series of international friendly matches.
Accordingly, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will play friendly matches with Spain and Kenya on August 16, 17 and 18 at Dong Anh Stadium.
These matches took place when the Spanish and Kenyan women's teams chose Vietnam for training to prepare before going to Thailand to compete in the World Cup.
In the current world rankings, Kenya is ranked 23rd, just 1 place behind the Vietnamese women's team.
The African team is also the opponent in Group G with the Vietnamese women's team at the upcoming World Cup.
Meanwhile, the Spanish women's team is ranked 32nd in the world, promising to be a quality "blue team" for the Vietnamese girls.
According to experts, Spain and Kenya will be a "test" and also a good opportunity for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students to accumulate experience and further progress in preparation for the 2025 National Championship.
