Vietnam Airports Corporation - JSC (stock code ACV) has just announced the results of selecting contractors for package 7.8 of component project 3 - essential works in Long Thanh International Airport phase 1, with a winning bid price of VND 3,379 billion.
Of which, HANTA2 Joint Venture (including Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, Hanoi Construction Corporation - JSC (Hancorp), ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company) won this bid.
The package includes the construction of the body, outdoor infrastructure, equipment installation for Cargo Terminal 1 and auxiliary works. The contract implementation period is 330 days.
With a capacity of 550,000 tons of cargo per year, this project plays a key role in air transport operations. The project helps ensure the progress and scale of operations according to ACV's plan, while also creating a foundation for Long Thanh to become a regional cargo transit center.

Regarding the members of the Joint Venture, Coteccons is known as a top company in the construction industry with 21 years of experience as a general contractor. Hancorp has an advantage in the field of aviation infrastructure construction; and ATAD is introduced as an expert in steel structures.
Mr. Vo Hoang Lam, Deputy General Director of Coteccons, shared: “Public investment and infrastructure are opening up a 'big battle' for the Vietnamese construction industry. Coteccons has determined that this sector will become a strategic pillar alongside civil works.”
Public investment and infrastructure are also attractive bidding niches in Vietnam. According to estimates by the Global Infrastructure Hub, Vietnam needs an average of 25 billion USD (about 659 trillion VND) per year in the next 20 years, mostly focused on transportation.
