The Galaxy Ring will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris. French magazine Dealabs, citing its own sources, says the device will be priced at 449 euros in Europe. Samsung doesn't typically convert currencies when pricing products in different markets, but at the current exchange rate, that's equivalent to $485.
The news is surprising because previous reports suggested the Galaxy Ring would cost between $300 and $350, a reasonable price point that’s comparable to popular smartwatches today. The Galaxy Ring’s biggest competitor, the third-generation Oura Ring, also starts at $299.
Samsung's smart ring is also said to come with an optional health tracking and analytics subscription like Oura and Fitbit, costing less than $10 per month.
Previously, according to the certification application submitted by Samsung to the US Federal Communications Commission FCC and collected by My Smart Price , Samsung's rings will be available in sizes from 5 to 12 (equivalent to diameters from 14 to 22 mm). Battery capacity depends on the ring size the buyer chooses. For example, the Galaxy Ring size 5 will have the smallest 17 mAh battery, while size 12 is equipped with a 22.5 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, 91mobiles also discovered a new Samsung patent for a smart ring with an integrated screen. However, it is currently unclear when the Korean company will commercialize this product.
Another product that will also be launched with the Galaxy Ring is the Galaxy Buds3 Pro headset. "Rumor expert" Ice Universe posted on X images showing the new design of the product, such as the addition of an ear stem with integrated lights called Blade Light, and a charging case with a transparent lid.
Galaxy Buds3 Pro is expected to integrate two-way speakers in each headset, support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, have IP57 dust and water resistance and a usage time of 7 hours and up to 30 hours when used with the charging case.
Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will be announced by Samsung alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip 6 foldable phones in Paris next week.
