Fresh rice continues to increase

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) increased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating at 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; Japanese rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is at 9,200 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is quite good, buying and selling transactions are steady. In Hau Giang, rice is being harvested in large quantities, farmers are offering prices at an upward trend, demand is quite high because the rice is ripening evenly. In Dong Thap, farmers are keeping their prices, demand for rice is still steady. In Soc Trang , rice prices are stable, demand for buying and selling is slow.

In An Giang, farmers are offering high prices for rice, demand for rice in Thoai Son is sporadic, some rice fields are green. In Can Tho, there is little rice left, most of them have deposits, and will be sold in a few days. In Kien Giang , rice transactions are steady, demand is quite high, rice prices have not fluctuated much.

Regarding rice, according to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 8,150 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuates at 9,300 - 9,500 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,550 to 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 3-4 fluctuates at 6,600 to 6,700 VND/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,550 to 5,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is better, the price of all types of rice is relatively stable. In An Giang, rice arrives regularly, warehouse purchases stagnate, rice prices depend on quality. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the quantity is quite good, mainly fragrant and sticky, buying and selling transactions are regular, prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity of rice arrives is large, warehouse purchases are moderate, prices of all types are reduced.

At retail markets, prices of all types of rice are stable compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at VND21,000/kg; common white rice at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 390 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
