Why do a series of principals of major schools in Ho Chi Minh City have to write self-criticism immediately?

(Dan Tri) - The principals of Le Hong Phong High School, Gia Dinh High School and many other educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City must report and write self-criticisms for violations in bidding packages for the purchase of assets and equipment.

Review organization plan according to Notice No. 613/TB-SGDĐT dated December 16, 2023 of the Department of Education and Training.

Specifically, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requested the Principal of Gia Dinh High School to report and explain, make a list of related individuals to write a self-criticism for the storage of accounting documents that were not fully preserved according to regulations, leading to loss of records.

The Principal of Le Hong Phong High School reported and explained, made a list of related individuals to write a self-criticism about not complying with the instructions on purchasing and bidding, leading to incorrect spending according to regulations.

Director of the Center for Comprehensive Technical Education Le Thi Hong Gam reported and explained, made a list of related individuals to write a self-criticism about not complying with the instructions on purchasing and bidding, leading to not organizing the purchase according to regulations.

In addition, 66 units that do not ensure the components of the dossier to build socialized collection plans according to regulations as a basis for creating a 50% socialized funding source to purchase interactive boards in accordance with the policy of the City People's Committee at the time of implementing the Project are responsible for reporting and explaining in writing the related contents, making a list of related individuals at the stage of the violation as stated in Notice No. 613.

23 units have not properly maintained and used equipment, leading to many damaged, degraded and ineffective devices. The principals of the units are requested to report and explain the solutions. The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will issue a written criticism and warning to the relevant groups and individuals after receiving the report.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, requested heads of relevant units to make explanatory reports and notify relevant individuals to write self-criticisms for shortcomings and limitations honestly, voluntarily admit shortcomings, not avoid or accept disciplinary action (if any).

At the same time, propose solutions to overcome and correct shortcomings and limitations and take remedial measures and compile a review report according to the established list and send it to the Department of Education and Training (through the Department of Organization and Personnel) for synthesis before organizing the review meeting.

The review and criticism will be carried out in January.
