My Uyen is the only foreign actress participating in this musical project that brings together more than 100 artists.
General Jang Han Sang is a historical musical depicting the image of the talented general Jang Han Sang of Korea in the 17th century. He had many contributions in protecting the borders of the Land of the Rising Sun. My Uyen plays the role of General Jang Han Sang's wife.
The play will be performed for 4 shows on September 11, 12, 13 and 14 at Gubong Park, Namdaecheon River, Uiseong, Gyeongbuk Province, South Korea.
My Uyen plays the role of General Jang Han Sang's wife.
Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , My Uyen said that the play has 24 chapters and she only participated in one chapter, but My Uyen said that the lessons and experiences gained from participating in this project were very useful.
The opportunity for My Uyen to participate in the play came from her relationship with the musical's general director, Mr. Lee Jung Nam.
He is the chairman of the Busan Theater Association, which signed a 3-year cultural exchange agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association from 2024. Mr. Lee Jung Nam came to Ho Chi Minh City and watched some plays at the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival in 2024.

Afterwards, the association invited the play Comrade to the Busan Theater Festival and invited My Uyen to participate in the musical General Jang Han Sang when he was the play's scriptwriter and general director.
In Korea, there are a number of historical musical projects that are funded to perform for free to the public, General Jang Han Sang is one of those projects.
This live performance uses French 3D projection technology to create an impression on the audience in an outdoor stage, with a beautiful cliff terrain.
Seriousness and high concentration make the work successful.
During practice days, My Uyen had to sit all the time, watch everyone practice and be ready when it was her turn.
She said: "Hundreds of actors, from 8-year-old children to adult actors, were all attentive and ready, thus making it easier for the director to direct the play.
The young actors are conscious in adding skills to become versatile actors. Acting, singing, dancing extremely well.
When practicing, no one holds their phone, and they work proactively without waiting for assistants to remind them.
The lead role in the play is singer Kim Jun Hyun, he has participated in many famous musicals in Korea and around the world such as The Lion King, Evita, My Cat, Jesus Christ Superstar ...
Kim Jun Hyun's work ethic is extremely professional. He runs backstage to quickly change clothes and rush out onto the stage, so he always prepares carefully so as not to be passive."

In each show, the organizers only reserve about 300 or 400 seats for the audience. My Uyen wonders why they don't reserve more seats to meet the audience's demand.
The director replied that the number of seats is limited so that the audience can enjoy the play in the best way, capturing the emotions of each actor because if they sit too far away it will be difficult to see.
That detail also made My Uyen think about the respect for the audience and the cherishing of her work by those who performed the play.
