Village school boy becomes valedictorian twice

A male student from Chuong My A High School, Hanoi, became the valedictorian of Block A in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with a perfect score of 30/30.

The male student above is Nguyen Duy Phong (12A5 student of Chuong My A High School). This male student scored 10 in 3 subjects in the A00 group: Math, Physics, Chemistry. With the above achievement, Phong became 1 of 8 valedictorians of the A00 group.

Sharing with PNVN Newspaper, Duy Phong said that he and his family members were very happy with the above results. The male student also shared that he was not too surprised with the results, especially after comparing them with the exam answers.

To achieve good results in the exam, Phong said he focused on mastering knowledge from class and researching to understand the problem deeply. "Once I have solid knowledge, I aim to practice doing many exam questions to train my thinking and test-taking speed," Phong shared.

Besides his study method, Phong said that he does not focus on studying day and night but always keeps his mind relaxed and alert. However, when starting to study, the male student often sets goals and concentrates highly to complete those goals.

Phong is currently considering enrolling in a major related to control and automation engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology or the University of Engineering and Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Previously, Phong was also the valedictorian of the Hanoi National University's 2025 aptitude test with 130/150 points. In March 2025, the male student also scored 90.54/100 points in the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment, ranking 4th out of nearly 19,000 candidates.
