Raising awareness and knowledge for new rural construction officials

On August 9, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of M'Drắk district coordinated with Pro Phương Nam Joint Stock Company to organize a training conference to improve the capacity of cadres working on new rural construction at commune and village levels in the district.

The training course was attended by 50 officers who are directly advising and in charge of the new rural construction work of 12 communes in the district.

The training content includes 4 topics related to the work of building new rural areas: Instructions on the process of collecting, synthesizing and calculating income criteria under the National Criteria Set for New Rural Areas in the period of 2021 - 2025; National Criteria Set for New Rural Areas at all levels and assessment, recognition and revocation of New Rural Areas in the period of 2021 - 2025; Development of OCOP products and key local products; Monitoring, evaluation and report preparation on new rural area construction with people's participation.

The training course aims to help cadres working on new rural construction at commune, village and hamlet levels improve their knowledge, awareness, sense of responsibility, actively do a good job of propaganda, mobilization, and guidance on implementing policies and guidelines on new rural construction in the locality to achieve the best results.

It is known that the entire M'Drắk district has achieved 144/228 criteria for building new rural areas, with each commune achieving an average of 12 criteria (an increase of 105 criteria compared to 2011 and an increase of 58 criteria compared to 2015); 2 communes have achieved 19/19 criteria and have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as communes meeting new rural standards (Ea Pil and Ea Rieng). Regarding the OCOP program, the fresh orange product of Minh Duc Cooperative (Cu Prao commune) has been evaluated and classified as 3-star at the provincial level by the Provincial People's Committee.
