Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ngoc Kim Nam chaired the meeting, along with the participation of many central and local press reporters.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee informed about some contents related to the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. According to the plan, the Congress will be held from October 1 to 3. Attending the Congress are 500 official delegates, representing 200,579 party members in the entire Party Committee.
With the motto "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Congress has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly developed province, a national growth pole in the new era of development".
The Congress set out the development goals for the 2025-2030 period as follows: renewing development thinking, taking science-technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force; Nghe An culture and people as the foundation; developing a green, digital, circular, high-tech economy and quality services; making a breakthrough in the east and developing sustainably in the west; combining economic development with environmental protection, culture-society, national defense and security; expanding regional connectivity and international integration.
The Congress set a goal that by 2030, Nghe An will become a well-off province in the country, a national growth pole, a North Central region center for industry, high-tech agriculture, education, healthcare, science-technology, logistics and tourism; with a vision to 2045 to become a comprehensively developed, civilized, modern, high-income province.
At the press conference, representatives of press agencies raised many questions related to the organization of the Congress, the coordination of propaganda before, during and after the Congress as well as the new term targets, new points in the draft documents. In particular, attention was paid to breakthrough solutions for economic development, monitoring mechanisms, and social criticism to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing resolutions after the Congress.

Speaking and answering questions at the press conference, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the 20th Congress is a turning point in shaping Nghe An's new development thinking, with three strategic breakthroughs including institutional improvement, high-quality human resource development and strategic infrastructure priority. Thereby, strongly arousing the aspiration to rise up in the whole society, creating a long-term, feasible and breakthrough vision, towards the goal of making Nghe An a national growth pole by 2030, and a comprehensively developed, modern, high-income province by 2045.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu hopes that press agencies will continue to promptly, accurately, objectively and comprehensively propagate the key contents of the Congress; clarify and highlight new and breakthrough points in the documents and arouse aspirations, inspire civic responsibility and trust in society; spread the spirit of innovation, development aspirations and affirm the image of a dynamic, creative, courageous Nghe An, ready to rise to become a national growth pole; proactively discover, reflect and replicate good models and good practices in the process of implementing the resolution, contributing to bringing the resolution into life.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also called on the press to promote its role as a companion, reporting accurately, objectively and comprehensively on the Congress; highlighting new points and development aspirations; and at the same time refuting distorted arguments, maintaining social trust.
