Nghe An: Highlights on January 24

* On the morning of January 24, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with agencies in the Internal Affairs sector. * Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has just announced additional enrollment of students into grade 10 of the Specialized High School program for the 2023-2024 school year. Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training has just agreed to allow Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted to enroll additional students in specialized subjects: Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and English based on international English certificates.

* Luong Thuy Kieu and Luong May Duy, 9B students of Yen Tinh Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, are the only two female ethnic minority students to win first prize at the provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year.

* According to forecasts, on January 24, Nghe An province will experience severe cold, with temperatures in some mountainous areas dropping to 9 degrees Celsius. The severe cold spell in the North Central region may last for many days to come.
