In the match of round 11 of the Premier League that took place this morning (November 6, Vietnam time), coach Jurgen Klopp's team unexpectedly encountered many difficulties against the team that was rated lower than Luton, even conceding a goal in the 80th minute and seemed to have returned empty-handed if Luis Diaz had not shone in the 90+5 minute of extra time.

Brought onto the field in the 83rd minute, the Colombian striker had a beautiful header to equalize for Liverpool just seconds before the referee blew the final whistle.

Notably, after scoring a valuable goal for his team, Luis Diaz lifted his shirt to reveal a message written in Spanish "Free my father" to beg the kidnappers not to harm his father.

Luis Díaz’s parents were kidnapped on October 28 in Barrancas, La Guajira, Colombia. Hours after the kidnapping, Cilenis Marulanda, his mother, was rescued by authorities. While Cilenis Marulanda returned home safely, Manuel Díaz has not been rescued.

According to the latest announcement from the Colombian government, the ELN (National Liberation Army guerrilla group) is responsible for the kidnapping of Manuel Diaz.

ELN is notorious for massacres and kidnappings. Currently, a Colombian government delegation is negotiating with ELN to release the father of striker Luis Diaz.

After the match, the 26-year-old posted an emotional status on Instagram: "My father is a hard-working man, the pillar of the family... but he is being kidnapped.

I hope the ELN will release my father as soon as possible. I also ask international organizations to make efforts to resolve the issue, to ensure his freedom.

Every second, every minute we were getting more worried. We had no words to describe the terrible feeling we were having and it would only end if he returned safely.

Release my father now, respect his integrity. I want to thank all the Colombian people and the international community for their support."

A draw with Luton meant Liverpool missed the chance to move up to second in the Premier League table.
