Huynh Thuy Le ancient house covers an area of nearly 260 m2 , located on the bank of Sa Giang river (Sa Dec ward, Dong Thap ), is one of the unique architectural works, bearing the traditional Vietnamese appearance mixed with Chinese - French architecture. The house was built by Mr. Huynh Cam Thuan in 1895, restored in 1917 and passed on to his youngest son Huynh Thuy Le,

Their love was forbidden by their families, but it left a deep impression, and many years later, Marguerite Duras wrote the autobiographical novel The Lover (1984). The work was translated into more than 40 languages, sold more than 2.5 million copies, and was made into a film by director Jean-Jacques Annaud (1992) - winning the Goncourt Prize in the year of its release.
