Co Tu people of Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages promote solidarity

On the afternoon of November 16, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang and leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Vang district and the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hoa Bac commune attended and shared the joy of the National Great Unity Day in the two villages of Ta Lang and Gian Bi - where many Co Tu ethnic people live.

The report of the Front Working Committee of Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages at the Festival said that both villages currently have 284 households with 967 people, of which 254 are Co Tu households.

Up to now, both villages have completed the targets assigned by the superiors in 2024, and have been recognized as cultural villages with 274/284 households achieving the title of cultural family, reaching a rate of 96%. There are 7 households that have escaped poverty and 100% of students are in class at the right age, with no dropouts...

Speaking at the Festival, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang affirmed: For many years, the National Great Unity Festival has become a beautiful tradition in residential areas of Da Nang.

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang expressed his joy when the lives of people in Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages changed day by day... Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages have promoted the spirit of great solidarity, mutual love, mutual assistance in life, strictly followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and local regulations, demonstrated the responsibility, heart and trust of the Co Tu people towards the Party, the State and the city, highlighted through the models: "Co Tu people worship Uncle Ho's picture to remember his teachings", "Prestigious Co Tu people protect the border area", "Residential areas are covered with red flags on festival days"...

At the 2nd Conference to commend ethnic minority representatives of Da Nang city in 2024 on November 15, the Ethnic Committee and the People's Committee of Da Nang city commended 10 collectives and 49 individuals, including 6 individuals of Co Tu people living in Hoa Bac commune and collectives of 2 villages Ta Lang and Gian Bi.

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested Party Committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts, and mass organizations of Da Nang City and Hoa Vang District to focus on implementing tasks such as: building "self-governing, united, prosperous, and happy" villages; model villages with developed economy , civilization, culture, security, safety, and everyone, every family has a prosperous and happy life. This is also the key content in the Action Program of the Fatherland Fronts at all levels for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested the authorities of Hoa Bac commune (Hoa Vang district) to focus on successfully implementing the breakthrough program of the term: "Developing rural tourism economy associated with building new rural areas, turning Hoa Bac into an ecological and community tourism commune" to further improve the quality of life of the people, including nearly 300 Co Tu households in Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages.
