People freely come to watch "handsome horses" compete in cross-country racing in Lam Dong.

(NLDO) - The cross-terrain horse riding tournament in Lam Dong aims to prepare Vietnamese equestrian athletes to participate in the 35th Sea Games.

On August 16, at the Thien Ma Madagui Horse and Dog Racing Course - Polo and Horse Performance Club (Da Huoai Commune, Lam Dong Province), the 2025 Cross-Terrain Equestrian Championship took place.

Athletes and horses compete at the 2025 Cross Country Equestrian Championship.

The tournament has 20 athletes and 20 horses from 9 famous domestic equestrian clubs including Hanoi Horse Club, Happy Ranch Club, Red Lion Club, Germ Garden Club, Truong Linh Club, Lang Biang Club; Hong Lam - Madagui Club; Tin Max Horse Club, PTS Viet Tri Horse Club.

According to the Organizing Committee, this is the first amateur equestrian competition held in Vietnam by Thien Ma - Madagui Horse Racing Joint Stock Company.

The total prize money is 1.5 billion VND, the teams will compete on the Cross-Country course with a total length of 1,800 m. The race is open to the public to watch live on the course.

People are free to enter to watch the equestrian race.

The organizing committee said that the Southeast Asian region currently has only 8/11 countries (except Vietnam, Laos, and East Timor) participating in the Equestrian Sport event at the 33rd Sea Games, which will be held in Thailand from December 9 to 20 this year.

Therefore, this horse racing tournament aims to launch the sport equestrian movement, setting the goal of preparing resources in terms of athletes and logistics for the Vietnamese equestrian sport to participate in the 35th Sea Games.

The Thien Ma Madagui Horse and Dog Racing Course - Polo and Horse Performance Club project, invested by Thien Ma - Madagui Horse Racing Joint Stock Company, is being implemented in Da Huoai commune, Lam Dong province with a total investment capital of 1,548 billion VND.

The project was granted an Investment Certificate in 2011. In 2023, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved the adjustment of the investment policy including 3 independent projects such as: Da Huoai Horse Breeding, Training and Tourism Center Project; Hong Lam Madagui Golf Course Project and Thien Ma - Madagui Horse and Dog Racing Course Project, Polo Club and Performance Horses.
