Many stocks closed lower than in the morning, but the number of stocks with increased prices still dominated. The securities group maintained its upward momentum, although there were few stocks hitting the ceiling. Meanwhile, SSI and VND were still the two bluechips with quite a remarkable increase in the industry group, perhaps thanks to the support from foreign buying power.
Steel stocks have a strong differentiation, with HPG submerged in red; HSG falling to reference and many smaller stocks such as POM, TIS, SMC, TLH… also decreasing in price.
This session also recorded the positive contribution of banking codes such asACB , BID, EIB, VCB, CTG... but there were also many codes that only maintained the reference price or went down such as VPB, SGB, STB, TCB, ABB, LPB...
Market liquidity remains at nearly VND12,000 billion. This shows that this year investors seem not to have an early Tet holiday like many previous years. Thus, maintaining the green color and VN-Index closing above 1,100 points is also considered a success before the long Tet holiday.
Many securities companies believe that when the 1,100-point barrier is overcome, the VN-Index may experience a correction. However, the market is in a period of strong fluctuations in a positive direction, so short-term risks remain low. In terms of current techniques, the recovery momentum will continue towards the 200-week MA (currently around 1,115 points)...
