(NLDO) - The contractor committed to increasing human resources and machinery to speed up construction to make up for the slow progress, ensuring the project is completed before August 30.

On March 12, the Management Board of the Project for Investment in Construction of Traffic Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province (representative of the investor of component project 3, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project) said that the leader of the contractor, Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1), pledged to overcome difficulties and problems at the construction site to speed up the project's progress.

Contractor CC1 committed to speed up progress to compensate for the delayed volume.

According to the investor representative, CC1 has committed to increasing human resources, machinery, gathering construction materials, working overtime, and increasing shifts to make up for the progress not achieved in the past, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.

At the meeting, the investor requested contractor CC1 to urgently complete the mine procedures, build the Ea Kenh mine's transportation road and proceed with exploitation to construct the K98 layer in the completed K95 sections. Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc (right cover), Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, said that the delay in progress has objective and subjective causes.

Explaining the reason for the delay, a CC1 official said that the construction start date was December 9, 2024, the contractor encountered difficulties with the waste disposal site because it had not yet been approved, leading to delays in excavation and transportation items. In addition, the contractor also encountered difficulties with the quarry of earth and rock materials, causing great difficulties in construction work and speeding up the project's progress. In addition, the K95 and K98 earth filling items are currently being constructed, which take a long time but account for a small proportion of the value in the package.

"CC1 is determined to strive to complete the K98 land area before April 15 and finish the asphalt concrete paving before July 30. Complete the project before August 30 according to the committed schedule" - said a CC1 officer.

Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, admitted that there were delays and that project management was not good. In addition to objective reasons, there were also subjective reasons.

"During the construction process, CC1 encountered many difficulties with earth and rock. We hope to receive support from the provincial leaders to resolve the problem so that we can have construction materials. Once the contractor has the initiative to source materials, they will mobilize all equipment, machinery, and people to work day and night to regain progress and complete the project on schedule as committed," Mr. Quoc affirmed.

As reported by the Lao Dong Newspaper, despite many advantages such as early site handover and sunny weather, the CC1 contract package is continuously behind schedule. At the time of reporting, this contract package was 25% behind schedule as committed, so the investor requested to transfer the volume to another unit to ensure the overall progress of the project according to the Prime Minister 's direction that the route must be opened before August 30.
